BR7000 Series Roll-Belt™ Round Balers

Tight, uniform bales in any crop or condition

You’re always looking for a better way to bale. Well, look no further than the BR7000 Series round balers! New Holland offers eleven distinct Roll-Belt™ baler models that produce bales weighing from 300 to 2,200 pounds. Some are specially designed to bale crops with moisture content up to 65 percent for high-quality round bale silage.

New Holland boosts your baling efficiency with these BR7000 Series improvements:

A new hydraulic bale ejector ramp is available as a dealer-installed option for the BR7070 and BR7090. It uses a one-way hydraulic cylinder that allows the ramp to instantly move down when the tailgate is raised and the bale comes out. When the tailgate is closed, the ramp goes back to the home position, and the bale is pushed away from the tailgate, allowing the tailgate to close.

Stronger shot-peened tines replace the previous music wire tines on all pickups (except the BR7050 and BR7060 Standard). These new tines last longer, are more durable in tough conditions and curved for optimal crop lifting.

Two formed ribbed rolls replace two dimple rolls in the bale chamber for improved bale formation. These rolls are made of thicker steel and have improved life and durability.

One less spreader roll means net flow is more even and net spread is smoother and more uniform.
Extra-wide pickups ensure fast, positive feeding:

New Holland’s exclusive Roll-Belt™ design uses heavy-duty rolls in front of the bale chamber and short, tough belts in the back to deliver consistent core formation and tight, uniform bales in dry hay, corn stalks and silage. And, it delivers the highest round baler capacity in the industry.

Six nylon/polyester Mini Rough Top forming belts (eight MRT belts on the BR7080 and BR7090) with a friction surface, grip the crop and carry it up into the core forming area. Belts are 100 inches shorter than the leading competitor and flex over uneven bale surfaces, providing 91 percent contact across the bales to reduce losses.Chain-driven, rubber-surfaced roll powers the belts. An adjustable idler roll regulates belt tracking.

How the bale forms:

Floor Roll (E) features eight welded rods that feed material from the Pickup (C) to the Belts (L) in the bale chamber. The floor roll also carries most of the bale’s weight, reducing stress on the belts for longer belt life and lower maintenance costs.

Starter Roll (F) helps turn the crop and start a bale core in any crop, including rotary combine straw and sandy-soil crops like peanut hay.

Fixed Roll (H) is ribbed to aid in bale rotation and transmits power to the remaining upper rolls —Pivot Roll (I), Stripper Roll (J) and Follower Roll (K)—for improved core formation. These rolls assist in curling material and starting the core. The Stripper Roll is also ribbed to strip material off the apron belts and pack it into the bale. As the bale grows, the top rolls (J & K) pivot forward.

Belt Tension Arm (M) also rotates, allowing the bale chamber to expand. Belt Tension Cylinder (N) and Belt Tension Spring (O) deliver reduced belt tension at the start to ensure positive core formation, even when baling short, dry material.

When the bale reaches full size, stop the tractor. The wrapping mechanism starts automatically. When wrapping is complete, raise the Tailgate (P) to eject the bale. The spring-loaded Bale Ejector (Q) rolls the bale away so the tailgate can be closed without moving the baler. Then simply start the next bale.

All three New Holland pickup designs are positioned out front where you can easily monitor windrow feeding. These designs let you pick up wider windrows, feed the crop edge to edge, and better compress material into the bale chamber to make firmer, square-shouldered bales. New shot-peened tines (except four bar on Super Sweep™ pickup) offer improved life and durability.

Super Sweep Pickup
Six-bar Super Sweep pickup (available on the BR7080 and BR7090) features:

  • More tines than most balers to pick up short, fine crop
  • Six rows of curved tines that make pickup speed slower than the competition, providing gentler crop handling
  • Strong-yet-flexible backbone design that prevents clogging in crops such as corn stalks.
  • Four-bar Super Sweep Pickup
  • This pickup crowds material along the sides of the bale chamber for tight, firm bale ends. Available on the BR7050 and BR7060.

Wide Pickup
This low-profile pickup (available on the BR7060 and BR7070) allows you to pick up extra-wide or wind blown windrows. It features:

  • A floating windguard to help control crop flow from the pickup into the bale chamber
  • Stronger cam follower bearings and a pickup lift crank to extend the pickup’s life
  • An anti-wrap shield in the right hand wheel bearing to prevent damage from crops.

XtraSweep™ Pickup
XtraSweep™ pickups handle heavy or windblown windrows with ease—and are the widest pickups in the industry. XtraSweep pickups utilize an eliptical stuffer for superior feeding in heavy crop.

  • 71.1-inch XtraSweep pickup (available on the BR7060 and BR7070) has 112 curved tines to get all the crop off the field and into the baler.
  • 81.6-inch XtraSweep pickup (standard on the BR7060 CropCutter™ and BR7070 CropCutter; optional on the BR7090) has 128 tines and double cam tracks for long-term durability.
  • Offers a center bearing support on the stuffer for the heaviest windrows.

Both XtraSweep pickups feature:

  • Full-width, pivoting windguards for total crop control into the bale chamber.
  • Two flotation gauge wheels to follow contours in the field.
  • Large-diameter pickup augers to improve crop feeding.

"Double-Stuffer" feeders to provide positive movement from the pickup reel to the floor roll. The feeder floor angle has been adjusted for improved feeding and smooth bale starting. The path of the stuffer fingers has been altered on the 81.5-inch pickup so that the fingers come closer to the pickup reel, providing extra-smooth crop transition.

Hydraulic pickup lift which is standard on the larger 81.5-inch pickup and optional on the smaller 71-inch pickup.

Auto-Wrap™ tying mechanism (available on all models except the BR7050) is simple and trouble-free. Features include:

  • Fully automatic tying without special electronics or hydraulic hoses.
  • Consistent twine placement, which means your last bale will look as good as your first.
  • Twine tensioners are mounted in the twine box to keep the twine tight, so you get reliable twine starts in all crops and conditions.
  • Standard bale counter.
  • Cab-mounted monitor that helps operators form uniform bales and track bale diameter (except model BR7060 Standard)
  • Full bale alarm to signal you to stop forward travel and begin twine tying
  • Bale shape driving monitor.

Bale Command Plus™ (available on all models except the BR7050) allows you to monitor all baler functions right from your tractor seat. Features include:

  • An electronically-controlled twine or net wrapping and monitoring system that makes it easy to form consistent, well-shaped bales.
  • Three factory-set twine tie patterns that can be pre-programmed and the capability to create your own pattern.
  • Full-bale alarm to signal you to stop forward travel and begin tying or wrapping cycle.
  • Manual override that allows tying/wrapping when a bale is less than full size.
  • Remote override switch that can be activated to wrap bales in manual mode.
  • Near-full bale alarm.
  • Electronic bale count record.
  • Bale-Slice™ or CropCutter™ knife engagement monitor.
  • Tailgate switch to indicate if the tailgate is closed or latched.
  • Left/right bale shape monitor allows you to make the perfect square-shouldered bales.

EdgeWrap™ net-wrapping option (available on all models except the BR7050 and BR7060 Standard) wraps bales faster than twine and produces bales that hold their shape, resist weathering and are easy to handle. Features include:

  • A wrapper that is wider than the bale chamber, and provides “over the edge” wrapping even when using standard-width net.
  • Bale Command Plus as standard equipment.

Optional New Holland cutting systems—Bale-Slice™ and CropCutter™—increase weight gains in livestock.

Bale-Slice System
Exclusive Bale-Slice system (optional on the BR7060 Silage Special and the BR7090) cuts crops as bales are formed, resulting in bales that feed more easily and are more digestible. A recent university study proves that bales made with the Bale-Slice are up to 14 percent denser than unsliced bales and can increase average daily weight gain in yearling heifers by 23 percent.

Bale-Slice is controlled by the Bale Command Plus™ monitoring system and features a series of knives on the starter roll. These knives pivot into the bale after the core is formed, resulting in bales that peel apart for easier feeding. Knives are reversible for increased life.

CropCutter Rotary Feeding and Cutting System
Exclusive CropCutter, unique to the BR7060 and BR7070, is equipped with up to 15 knives and cuts crop as it is fed into the baler. Minimum cut length is 2.6 inches with all 15 knives installed. Any combination of knives may be used to achieve the desired length of cut in various crops.

CropCutter bales are denser and heavier due to smaller particle length. In silage, this increased compaction means less air in the bale, resulting in better fermentation. In straw, it results in easier spreading and increased absorbency. Whatever the crop, bales made with CropCutter put more crop in every bale—and that means fewer bales per field and fewer bales to transport and store.

More Features

  • Gull-wing doors on both sides of the baler make daily maintenance simple.
  • Tailgate latch indicator, on the right front corner of all BR7000 Series models, lets the operator know that the tailgate is closed and latched before starting the next bale. Models equipped with Bale-Command Plus™ feature a tailgate latch indicator on the operator control panel.
  • Side-load twine storage boxes hold six balls of twine on the BR7060, BR7070, BR7080 and BR7090 Auto-Wrap™ balers. Depending on the model, five or six additional balls of twine can be stored in an optional front storage box on Auto-Wrap balers. All twine-net balers hold six balls of twine and two rolls of net.
  • Heavy-duty hitch jack, with jacking heights up to 22 inches, makes tractor hookup easy. When the baler is hitched to the tractor, the jack is easily relocated to avoid interference with the tractor’s three-point hitch arms, tractor tires and crop windrows.
  • Lube banks are conveniently located on each side of the baler. Plastic grease lines connect lube banks to most Roll-Belt™ bearings that require lubrication.
  • Highway safety lights make you more visible during over-the-road transport. Lights meet latest federal standards.
  • 480/45-17 10-ply tires on the BR7090 offer improved flotation in all conditions.
