Models range from a narrow nine-foot cutting width for outstanding maneuverability in smaller fields to 15-1/2 feet to knock down acres fast. No matter what cutting width you choose, you get your choice of chevron-design rubber-roll or flail conditioning. Either way, you get the proven performance and reliability of the Discbine® independent modular disc cutterbar design. Discbine disc mower-conditioners slice through thick, tangled or wet crop and mow through fire ant hills and gopher mounds without hassle.

Choose the conditioning system that best matches your needs—chevron-design, rubber rolls for gentle, consistent conditioning (Models 1409, 1411, 1431, 1441) or the New Holland flail conditioning system (Models 1410, 1412, 1432 and 1442) that delivers even faster drydown and can allow you to bale up to a day sooner than roll conditioning in grass crops.
Switching from swath to windrow and changing windrow or swath width is fast, simple and requires no tools. You can spread crop as wide as eight feet to a tight three-foot windrow that's ready to bale or chop.
Hydraulic header tilt is standard equipment, letting you make changes to cutting height on-the-go from your tractor seat.
Adjustable flotation springs help you get all the crop with out scalping.
High-density polyethylene impact hood liner reduces rock damage.
Center-pivot tongue design (1431, 1432, 1441, 1442) swings 38.5 degrees to the right or left to provide outstanding turn-and-go maneuverability. You can mow to either side or behind the tractor.
A swivel-hitch tongue design (drawbar or three-point) is also standard on the 1441 and 1442 and optional on the 1431 and 1432 for even greater maneuverability. It's the tongue design you need for making over-square corners, tight headland turns and cutting around field obstacles.
The unique bent-tongue design of the 1411 and 1412 features a constant-velocity joint driveline and on-the-go hydraulic swing for exceptional maneuverability. You get the convenience and performance of a swivel hitch without the need for a three-point hitch or drawbar extension.

The patented, independent New Holland modular cutterbar gives you peace of mind. Each disc module is an individually sealed gear case, and each gear case is connected with independent, hardened alloy drive shafts, not a full-width drive shaft that can twist or shear. There's no chance a broken gear tooth can circulate in the oil bath and cause more damage down the line. New Holland's modular engineering reduces repair time and cost by ensuring that any damage to one module doesn't affect another. In addition, individual disc modules can be easily repaired or replaced.
Bearings, gears and lubricant are sealed in each module, so the bearings are maintenance-free.
Cutterbar module gears are precision-forged for added strength.
Knives travel at 3000 rpm to slice through dense, wet crops, fire ant hills or gopher mounds.
Austempered discs result in extra hardness, toughness and durability.
Rock guards are made of ductile iron for maximum durability, not stamped sheet metal like some mowers.
Three different knives are available with all Discbine models to match your field conditions.
Two cutting edges on each knife provide for twice the cutting life.
Flip or replace knives easily from the front of the cutterbar using only one bolt per knife. There's no need to raise the header or reach from the back of the cutterbar.
Hydraulic header tilt (optional feature on the 1409 and 1410) allows you to change cutting angle on-the-go from the cab of your tractor.
Skid shoes are ¼-inch thick, eight inches wide and extend behind the module a full two inches for optimum flotation and protection.
A 200-hour oil change interval for the disc gearbox oil decreases maintenance time and cost.
Fast drydown is your goal…and New Holland offers two conditioning systems designed for that express purpose. Choose chevron roll conditioning for the gentle, thorough conditioning that's been producing quality hay for decades, or choose the fast-drying, time-saving flail conditioning to jump-start your haymaking.
Chevron Roll Conditioning (1409, 1411, 1431, 1441)
102-inch, chevron-design, intermeshing rubber rolls (90-inch on the 1409) crimp and crack stems evenly along the entire length of the plant, so you get fast drydown yet retain valuable leaves.
The unique chevron design allows the rolls to grip the crop and keep it moving without wrapping.
Roll pressure adjusts easily without tools.
Torsion-bar conditioning roll pressure system maintains near-constant pressure while allowing large slugs to pass through without plugging.
Flail Conditioning (1410, 1412, 1432, 1442)
Unique tapered flails pick up the crop and rub it together and against the conditioning hood. This action removes the waxy layer on the stems to release moisture quickly for extra-fast drydown.
The tapered flails release crop more easily than competitive systems, producing a thinner, more uniform crop mat that lays on top of the stubble for better air circulation and more thorough drying.
The adjustable flail hood allows you to tailor your conditioning needs to varying crop and moisture conditions. A simple turn of a hand crank lets you raise the conditioning hood away from the flails for lighter conditioning. Lower the hood for more aggressive action.
Optional textured hood liner provides even more aggressive grass conditioning.
