New Holland T2410 and T2420 Boomer tractors have won the Farm Industry News magazine 2008 Finovation award in the utility tractors category.
Based on reader response and voting by a group of Team FIN farmers, Finovation awards go the most innovative products published in Farm Industry News or on farmindustrynews.com.
Extended powertrain warranty puts Boomer at the head of the pack. This means you get an extra twelve months of powertrain coverage beyond Boomer's standard full-vehicle 24-month warranty at no extra charge.
Reliable four-cylinder engines deliver efficient power for tough work and difficult conditions.
The Boomer 12 x 12 synchronized transmissions give you more speed choices than the transmissions on competitive brand utility tractors.
High-output hydraulic system provides plenty of flow and three-point lifting capacity.
A front-wheel drive (FWD) axle is standard on the T2410 and T2420 and optional on the TC48DA and TC55DA. The FWD axle boosts productivity by providing added drawbar pull and better fuel efficiency.
Comfortable Boomer operator platform provides superior comfort and easy-to-use controls.
A factory-installed SuperSuite™ cab, available on the T2410 and T2420, takes your comfort to a new level. This cab features a high-visibility roof panel so you can see the loader through its full range of operation.
Simple service allows you to decrease preparation time and increase productive work time.
Independent, 540-rpm PTO is standard equipment.
Add an optional 270TL front-end loader, perfect for lifting large loads onto flatbed trucks. The Quick Mount system lets you attach the loader in minutes and take it off just as fast—without tools. And you don't have to drive "straight only" to mount the loader. The loader towers have ramps that allow the loader arms to slide right into place without the use of hydraulics.
A broad selection of hard-working implements helps Boomer utility tractors earn their keep every day.

Boomer™ utility tractors feature rugged four-cylinder diesel engines at 48, 55 and 60 gross engine horsepower. The 55- and 60-hp engines are turbocharged. These gutsy four-cylinder, 135.2-cu. in. displacement engines deliver smooth response in the face of difficult conditions.
Deep skirt and ribbed block design have resulted in decades of reliable service.
The parent-bore engine design eliminates sleeves and the risk of seal failure. The cylinders are cast as an integral part of the engine block, providing added strength and rigidity.
Unique Omega-shaped bowl at the top of each piston helps to thoroughly mix air and fuel, producing more horsepower per gallon of fuel.
A quick heating glow plug allows for fast starts in cold weather.
A 13.5-gallon fuel tank allows for extended use between fill-ups.
Heavy-duty, 750 CCA battery provides plenty of cranking power and is located in front of the radiator for easy access.
Powerful 55-amp alternator provides superior charging and the capability to handle extra electrical accessories.
Forward-to-reverse shifting is a breeze on Boomer™ utility tractors, making them ideal for loader work, blade work and mowing. And, you get twelve forward speeds and twelve reverse speeds—four speeds in each of three ranges—for more working speeds than you'll find on other utility tractors.
The reliable, easy-to-use 12 x 12 Synchro Shuttle Shift (SSS) transmission is available on all models. It allows you to shift from forward to reverse without coming to a complete stop.
A 12 x 12 Electro-Hydraulic Shuttle Shift (EHSS) transmission is optional on models TC55DA (FWD only), TC2410 and TC2420. It allows you to shuttle between forward and reverse without clutching.
A handy left-hand, console-mounted shuttle lever leaves your right hand free to operate the loader or implement.
Hydraulic flow to the three-point hitch and optional remotes is generous thanks to a dedicated gear pump. Flow on the TC48DA and T2420 is 12 gpm and 11.6 gpm on the TC55DA and T2410.
A separate 5.5-gpm steering pump supplies power for hydrostatic power steering, so the steering never robs flow from the hydraulic system—a plus when mowing around trees and beds or maneuvering a loader in close quarters.
Hydraulic steering fluid level can easily be checked using the dipstick conveniently located on the top of the reservoir. For simplicity, the reservoir is also a spin-on filter that can easily be drained and replaced every 600 hours.
Category II three-point hitch features a hefty 3,465-pound lift capacity @ 24 inches behind the lift balls so you can handle larger, more efficient implements. The T2410 and T2420 three-point linkage includes Category I bushings.
Flexible link ends make implement hook-up easy, convenient, and precise. The link ends allow significant adjustment in the three-point arms when hooking up implements.
Crank-type leveling mechanism allows for easy side-to-side implement leveling adjustment.
Telescoping stabilizers are standard, for easy, precise implement hook-up.
Swinging/extendible drawbar provides easy hook-up of attachments and is built to handle the toughest loads.
The hydraulic position control lever located on the right fender control pod gives you fingertip control of three-point-mounted implements. Move the lever forward to lower the implement; pull rearward to raise it. Position control allows you to maintain an implement at a selected position, maintaining a constant relationship between the position of the control lever and the lower link arms.
Draft control is standard on the TC48DA and TC55DA, allowing you to maintain implement working depth.
Position control only is available on the T2410 and T2420.
The flow control valve allows you to control the rate at which three-point-mounted implements are lowered. The flow adjustment is located under the front part of the seat platform.
A front wheel drive (FWD) axle is standard on the T2410 and T2420 and optional on the TC48DA and TC55DA. The FWD axle boosts productivity by:
- Reducing fuel consumption by as much 17% on dry soil and 22% on wet soil.
- Increasing drawbar power by as much as 20% on dry soil and 35% on wet soil.
- Reducing rear axle torque. Power is spread across the front and rear axles, lessening the stress on the rear axle and thereby increasing its life.
Differential lock foot pedal allows you to lock both rear wheels together for added traction.
Induction hardened rear axles supported by heavy-duty cast iron housings are designed to
handle the most demanding loads.
Spur gear, double reduction final drives minimize driveline loads insuring many years of trouble-free service.
Effective, long lasting, wet-disc brakes are designed for sure stops with minimal effort.
SuperSuite™ Cab (available on the T2410 and the T2420)
The SuperSuite cab’s innovative design provides the most comfortable environment available in a utility tractor cab, keeping the operator protected from weather and removed from dust and noise. The cab’s unique roof profile also keeps the overall height low, so the tractor can clear an eight-foot opening.
46.9 sq. ft. of glass gives you all-direction visibility that can’t be matched in any other utility tractor cab.
A standard high-visibility roof panel allows you to see the loader through a full range of operation for increased productivity.
60 cubic feet of interior space provides a roomy work area. Hip, leg and head room is generous.
A wide 13.1-inch entry threshold and two large doors, with grab rails and gas strut assist, make it easy to enter and exit.

The sloped Boomer hood, modern styling, under-hood muffler—and the matching curved-boom loaders—not only look great, but they also provide visibility that's best-in-class. The Boomer design provides both form AND function.
The headlight design and high-mount locations ensure superior illumination, even when using front-mounted implements. Four powerful halogen bulbs, including headlights and corner work lights, brighten your path for increased productivity and safety during night operation. The main lower headlights have a dual beam function, thus providing six headlight functions.
Open platform and a wide entry on either side make getting on and off the tractor easy.
Boomer utility tractors are easy to service. All routine maintenance points are located on the right side of the engine. You can easily check engine oil level without raising the hood and without removing the loader.
The standard 13.5-gallon fuel tank provides about eight hours of operation for extended use between fill-ups.
A convenient flip-up hood provides complete service access when needed.
A dipstick located at the rear of the tractor allows you to check transmission, rear axle, and hydraulic system fluid levels. A large fill port is also provided here.
The radiator is easy to access by simply raising the hood.
